THE WINES /
On January 26th we'll be heading to the Sheraton, Nansha to partake of their full buffet in the Feast Signature Restaurant.
Although they have their own selection of wines we'll be tasting three wines from Hebei province as well as a semi-sweet chardonnay from Ningxia province.
Obtaining these wines has been a real challenge this time. Although Hebei produces loads, I found it difficult to find wines that are reliably reviewed, with an decent price tag and easily available.

Take this Dragon Seal at ï¿¥398.00 and the G20 Five Star, ¥ 208.00 (for 375ml), as examples. Would have loved to buy them but ... at those prices? That's why the decision was made to drop into Ningxia, once again, to pick up the second of our Chinese whites for the 2017/ 18 season.

So Yes, we have a good diversity on offer to match the variety of dishes available at the buffet stations. And, (don't groan) it's time to bring in Great Wall. You can't 'go through' Chinese made wines without tasting a few Great Walls so this is our opportunity to sample our first.

To round off our selection, red and white from Chateau Fleur Saint-Jean (Bordeaux) are the buffet wines - freely available all evening.

Food-and-drink-wise this is going to be taste-bud debauchery.
